Here are some interesting statistics from Technorati concerning the world of blogging:·          Technorati now tracks over 35.3 Million blogs·          The blogosphere is doubling in size every 6 months·          It is now over 60 times bigger than it was 3 years ago·          On average, a new weblog is created every second of every day·          19.4 million bloggers (55%) are still posting 3 months after their blogs are created·          Technorati tracks about 1.2 Million new blog posts each day, about 50,000 per hourWhat this says is that blogging is a growth industry, they are a very popular medium and a lot of your potential customers are very likely reading blogs.  If you are going to set up a business blog it’s a good idea to do it well.  The success of blogs is fundamentally that they provide an informal means to communicate a message.  They are generally relaxed and chatty in their nature and this has proven to be how a lot of people today want to receive their information.Blogging Tips·          Find someone in your organisation who wants to be the main author and has an easy communication style·          Base the blog subject matter on your area of expertise·          Don’t use it to promote the company by telling the world how wonderful you are.  Keep the articles neutral, informative and useful for the reader·          Add new posts daily if you can, it keeps the blog fresh, encourages readers to check back often and fresh content ranks highly in search engines·          Respond to comments and questions as immediately as possible. A business blog is an opportunity for a one-to-one communication with customers ·          Avoid censoring comments. Readers respond to each other so unwarranted criticism is often refuted by later comments.·          Get staff involved and invite them to post relevant topics.

·          Set up a clear blog policy that all in your company understand
